About Beach Blitz

Founded in 2016, Beach Blitz is Southern California's premiere FIRST® Robotics Competition offseason event. At Beach Blitz, the team experience always comes first. That means:

Support our events by buying on-site! Food truck options are convenient, affordable, and delicious! Check them out in the FRC parking lot by the staircase.

All vendors open for lunch starting at 11:00am on Saturday and Sunday. Select vendors open earlier for coffee, later for dinner, and on Friday. A concessions table is also available for snack and drinks. Vendors subject to change.

Beach Blitz is committed to respecting the latest science and adhering to the latest restrictions and guidance from our venue, Orange County, and the State of California. Please Note: The pandemic is still a dynamic situation and we are several months from the event date. Beach Blitz reserves the right to ammend these protocols at any time.


Masks are strongly encouraged indoors and/or outdoors for attendees over two years old. In line with CDPH guidance dated 9/20/22, "People can wear a mask based on personal preference, informed by their own personal level of risk."

Vaccinations & Testing

All people attending Beach Blitz must provide proof of full vaccination (primary series) against Covid-19 OR negative test (within 48 hours). Proof of vaccination may be presented in the form of a vaccine card, picture of a vaccine card, or digital proof. Negative tests may be molecular or antigen and proof may be provided in the form of results from a lab, picture of an at-home test, or similar. Beach Blitz highly encourages everyone to get vaccinated, if able. Visit myturn.ca.gov to book an appointment today!


Spectators are welcome to attend Beach Blitz 2022 and must comply with all the same rules as teams. We will live stream the event for those unable to attend in-person.

Best practices for the unvaccinated

Stick with your own team as much as practical, physically distance from others when possible, stay home if you were exposed to a positive case of Covid-19. If you are able, get vaccinated today.

Wash your hands frequently and thoroughly, stay home if you’re feeling unwell, and comply with all event rules and instructions.


There is currently no travel advisory for California. Beach Blitz encourages teams and individuals to make responsible travel decisions and consult with their local health authorities.
